UC Davis and our Master of Science in Forensic Science program are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges – Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), the primary academic accrediting body in our region. A summary and detailed report of this accreditation can be found at wasc.ucdavis.edu. The WSCUC website also provides information on UC Davis accreditation status:
Campus accreditation was reaffirmed in July 2014 following a multi-year, self-study process that formally engaged the campus in institution-wide reflection on capacity and educational effectiveness. We are currently preparing for a special visit in 2017 to review progress on issues related to assessment, program review, and the 2020 initiative, as described in the 2014 WSCUC Action Letter confirming reaccreditation. Accreditation means the campus has met rigorous standards for quality, capacity and effectiveness; it confers a variety of benefits, especially access to federal financial aid resources.
