Program Tuition
Tuition for students entering the program in fall 2024 and after is $894 per unit. The 54-unit program can be taken on a full- or part-time basis. Out-of-state or international students pay the same per unit fee amount.
The per-unit fee covers the instructional program and access to student services fee (which includes student health center access, student representation and on-campus or VPM library access). Health Insurance is charged separately. Books, supplies, lab materials and cost of living are not included in the tuition.
Figures for tuition and fees represent currently approved or proposed amounts and may not be final. Actual tuition and fees are subject to change by the University of California as determined to be necessary or appropriate. Final approved tuition and fee levels may differ from the amounts presented. Some or all instruction for all or part of the academic year may be delivered remotely. Tuition and fees have been set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be refunded in the event instruction occurs remotely for any part of the academic year. Please refer to the UC Davis 2024-2025 Tuition and Fees site for the most recent information.

Self-Supporting Degree Programs
The Forensic Science Graduate Program is a self-supporting degree program. Self-supporting programs and students are not eligible to receive financial support from state funding sources. You may be eligible for some non-state funded Graduate Student Researcher (GSR) positions if you are a full-time student, and you should consult with your advisor about the availability of these paid positions. You are eligible to apply for and accept any campus position that is open to the public, including permanent/long-term staff positions advertised by Human Resources.
